I came to MDI with huge expectations from BFBV having spoken to many of your past students. Today, I can safely say that the course not only lived up to my expectations but hugely exceeded them by a 'margin of safety' that is synonymous with the style of investing you teach. I am in fact sad that the course is over and that is testimony to just how much I enjoyed it.

I also feel that restricting what I gained from this course to just its subject matter would be wrong. I cannot recall a single other course where I learnt so much about the vagaries of the world and how to deal with them. Your teaching style was engaging and very unique. Your mentoring priceless.

I could go into many more details about how much this course has changed my life but I am sure you have heard it all before!! I just want to end by saying a big thank you for everything and wishing you lots of good health...

For ADMIN : He is best professor at MDI. Facilities at MDI need to improve a lot to accommodate professor like him. Half the time mic is not working and couple of times there were projector problems.

Your course has been one of the most fascinating I have attended in my life. Though I am not looking for a job in Finance, but still the course has been the biggest value addition (anyways u mentioned in the first class that this course is not Finance but worldly wisdom, and it has been that for me). I just wanted to thank you for sharing the wealth of knowledge, information and wisdom you have accumulated over the years. Many times in your class, I have felt that is it humanly possible to do what you have done?? You have been both a role model and a huge inspiration for all of us ( though i do not know how many of us have the guts to do what you have done and abandon the security which an MNC job offers and starting out on our own....). At this moment when all of us are at cross roads and do not know what the future holds for us, your story is an inspiration that we too can make our own future.

For me this course was one of the most enriching courses at MDI. I always was inclined towards stocks and now this course of yours has enhanced it greatly.

About disagreement , yes thats why i really liked your idea of  killing our own ideas - you explained in class .... Thanx for that lesson and a lot of other things.

The professor was amazing, fabulous. He really made the classes interesting and the practical examples given by him are worth listening. Course can be made better by incorporating a couple of classes for project presentations.

The course elaborated a lot (and wonderfully so) on one school of thought i.e. value investing. However, it would be enriching for us if some time is also spent on the concept of growth based investing.

I`ll just say one word--- Excellent.

Handling of the course by faculty was excellent and all the feed back and replies to our queries were practical and not just theoretical.

This was the best course offered in the area of Finance. The faculty was also excellent. Mr. Bakshi should be asked to take more courses.
